To turn your methodology into a sellable AI skill, package it as a SKILL.md with a sharp trigger and reference files, validate that people already pay for the outcome, then list it on a marketplace and take payment. You already have a methodology if you do anything well more than twice: a research process, a content workflow, a code-review checklist. The question is whether it's a product. This guide walks through validating, packaging, listing, and getting paid.

Step 1: validate the demand first

Before you package anything, check that people already pay for the outcome. Run the competitor analysis checklist: who sells something close, at what price, and is there payment evidence? A methodology is a product only if someone would hand over money for it. If a niche is saturated, re-scope; if there's a framing nobody owns, that's your wedge. Step 2: package it as a SKILL.md

Now turn the method into a skill. The core file is SKILL.md, which tells the agent what the skill does, when to load it, and the exact steps. Write it so a stranger's agent can follow it and produce your quality of result.

Step 3: give away a free Lite version

The fastest way to build trust and prove the method is to ship a free Lite version that does the core task, then sell the PRO version that adds the depth. This is the funnel: the free version gets downloaded, people see the method work, and the PRO version converts the ones who need it automated or with real data. Step 4: list it and take payment

If the marketplace payout is a dead end, run a simple storefront with a cashier and deliver the file by email or link.

Step 5: verify and iterate

Once it's live, watch how buyers actually use it. Refund requests and support emails are product feedback. Tighten the SKILL.md, refresh the reference data, and re-list. A sellable skill is a living product, not a one-shot upload.
